He ended up being fine and we had the party later that afternoon. It was a lot of fun and a perfect day. I am so glad that everyone was still able to come!
Tom and Brycen eating pizza, Brycen's favorite food.
The hungry party-goers!
Pinata time! Brycen beating the bull! At first we couldn't even get Brycen to come over to the pinata, but he warmed up to it pretty quick. The hardest part about having a pinata at a 2-year-old's birthday party was protecting the bystanders from a flailing bat. Good thing it was plastic.
Dylan hitting it out of the park! Thank goodness we had some older kids to help get the job done.
Amelia taking a well needed break.
Tom taking over to finish the job.
Yummy birthday cake. Made with love by mommy! Brycen loves the movie Cars so we had to make him a birthday cake with that theme. When he saw the cake he said, "Queen...Mader" pointing to each one. Then he said "Two", we were so proud.
My little boy, how did you get so big. Yikes, to see pictures of myself makes me squeemish. But, I just have to get over that. One day I will lose the weight. But that didn't stop me from taking a piece of cake.
The cupcakes
Everyone just had to take a bite. Here is Jaxon with a mouthful.
Brycen is never shy about getting his hands dirty, especially with chocolate. When he is done he will let me know by saying, " I mess".
Even though the party only lasted just under 2 hours, I was exhausted. Things were so crazy and Brycen still wasn't quite sure about what was going on. So we waited until that night when things got a little calmer. He had a lot of fun opening each one and everything was exciting to him.
Thanks everyone for the great gifts and for coming to the party. We had a great time and lots of good memories!
